I need to reduce the pet-dander in our house. Tried shampoos for the pets & carpet sprays. I need fresh air!?

Some options:

1) Lots of $200 HEPA filters in 7 rooms ($1400)

2) Leave the windows cracked open a bit ($100/mo., we live in Wisconsin)

3) Run the furnace blower 24/7 (not the greatest filter, but works the best of the options thus far... need a better filter and what will happen to the blower motor in a few months?=$$$$)

4) Heat %26amp; Air exchanger ($2000)

5) Whole house HEPA filter ($1200)

6) Kill the cat: $0, but end up divorced (divorce=$10,000-20,000)

Please help!

We have several of these filters. They flow lots of air on high and they are only about $80. We found them in Lowes stores, or here is a link to buy online, but option 6 is still your best choice.

Get rid of your pet. Pets are one of the biggest waste of resources in the US. A major cause of pollution because of their waste. And the production of per food.
X, I owned two of the most lovable critters God ever created. One was a Golden Retriever, and the other a Shizu. They lived together and harmoniously with us for all of there lives, but - sad to say - they made our home smell like the city zoo. We tried everything, but nothing worked. Hey, how about the exhaust from your vacuum cleaner? ';Putrid';, hardly describes the stench. We had to buy a new one because nothing we did could eliminate the odor that our vacuum cleaner threw out.

Our gorgeous dogs eventually died. Pets - I'm refering to cats too - eventually leave us you know, and the conclusions my wife and I have come to are: 1. no more pets, 2. our home no longer stinks, and 3. our sons asthma has spontaneously disappeared. Yeah, mine too. The animal dander (dog hair) besides being one heck of a nuisance is bad for your health. Good luck to you with your efforts to clean up your home. Love your pets, and when they depart from this world it will be then when your abode will become more livable. Mike

  • Is your carpet fresh or could it use a good shampooing and deodorizing?

I use the Carpet Fresh Deodorizer for people with pets.

    Quite fresh.

But that's only for the carpet in the basement. Upstairs is hardwood.

Yeah, I know what chur talking about. I'm just not trying to go there. Is your carpet fresh or could it use a good shampooing and deodorizing?
just had company over for a party, so it's time to shampoo them again! (it's light green, so EVERYTHING shows)

as for the other carpet...it's always fresh n clean!! (heehee)Is your carpet fresh or could it use a good shampooing and deodorizing?
It could use a good shampooing and deodorizing

Fresh & Clean Oatmeal & Baking Soda Dog Shampoo?

I've been trying to find a good dog shampoo for my dogs. I've been trying different brands for the last several months because I can't find anything that smells good and will make my cocker's hair feel softer. Someone recommended oatmeal %26amp; baking soda shampoos- I was wondering what recommendations you guys might have?Fresh %26amp; Clean Oatmeal %26amp; Baking Soda Dog Shampoo?
actually that is what we use..and I love it..it has a pleasant odor that really lasts... and the coat gets super white and conditionedFresh %26amp; Clean Oatmeal %26amp; Baking Soda Dog Shampoo?
go to a grooming shop or better yet.. go to a dog show and hang out at the cocker ring,, speak with exhibitors and breeders, THEY WILL TELL YOU WHAT WORKS BEST

*** cocker spaniel breeders/exhibitors know all the best shampoos /conditioner for their breed... go to a SHOW
    I like that one.

LaPooch is good, too. Has a strong, long-lasting scent and leave the hair feeling really nice. Costs a bit more, but I love it.

Is your groomer doing the work at your home? If not, why are they not giving your dog a proper bath? That should be part of the grooming process.
I work at a vets office and we always tell people that Oatmeal shampoo is your best option for a couple of reasons... It is more sensitive so it is less likely to cause your dog any skin allergies, it is moisturizing so it will not leave your dog flaky and it will make the coat soft, and lastly it isn't a strong scent so it shouldn't bother your pet--even if your pet has allergies to scents.

You can buy Oatmeal shampoo anywhere, it doesn't even have to be a name brand--Wal mart offers a vanilla scented oatmeal shampoo for dogs that has a very nice smell and works wonderfully!

    Good luck!

Can landlords legally require shampooed carpet and a fresh paint job to receive a security deposit back?

check your lease. Most times the security deposit is only for oustanding damage like if you put a hole in the wall, but if it is in your lease you may be out of luck.

You'd also have to check your local state laws....every place is different so in your area it might be illegal even if it is in the lease. Can landlords legally require shampooed carpet and a fresh paint job to receive a security deposit back?
noCan landlords legally require shampooed carpet and a fresh paint job to receive a security deposit back?
Check your local or state laws. Stuff like this is always in there. In California, if the landlord does not return your security deposit in 21 days, he cannot contest how much of it he keeps. You get it all back.
If Its in the lease and you signed it! Yes

Normal wear and tear is not usually used to keep a deposit.
did you do a move-in form,,, if not ,, yes they can
I think that depends on the landlord/tenant act of where you live. I once had a landlord try that on me and I had only lived in the apartment two months as it was only meant to be a temporary move while I waited for my house to be available. Anyways, I went to the Landlord/Tenant Commission and filed a complaint with them and he had to pay all of my damage deposit back and this occurred within a couple weeks of my moving out, so didn't take long. The Landlord/Tenant Act says the damage deposit is only to cover damage beyond ';normal wear and tear.'; Cleaning of an apartment between tenants is the responsibility of the landlord as it is a normal cost of their doing business. Painting, carpet cleaning, cleaning of appliances are the responsibility of the landlord. Of course, most tenants will do reasonable cleaning such as the appliances and vacuuming of carpets and mopping of floors, but if there is carpet cleaning and painting to be done just to make the place fresh for the new tenants, that is the responsibility of the landlord. A damage deposit is only to cover damages in excess of ';normal wear and tear'; such as a hole in the wall, a cigarette burn in the carpet, a big stain in the carpet, etc. that weren't there when you moved in. That's all. Look into this where you live.
usualy landlords do not get to keep the security deposit for normal wear and tear (its mostly for excesive damage) but you should just double check your rental agreement

personaly I don't think the carpet shampoo sounds too unreasonable but I think him asking for you to repaint the place is pushing it
If you can't get out of it, I'd make sure you got furnished with copies of receipts, or could at least re-enter the apartment to make sure they're not just juxing you out of some money.

I've never had a refund problem before, but I've also never once had new carpet in an apartment-- and I've lived in some nice complexes.

You're right to be careful-- don't let them take you for a ride. Read your lease carefully, and consult the walk-thru you did when you moved in. If you didn't have brand new carpet then, then forget that fool.
Nope! He may be able to make you wash the carpets, but only if it is in the lease that you signed.

Find your Landlord-Tenant law in your state. You would be surprised what they are not allowed to do, but to it anyway!
Is normal wear and tear defined in the rental agreement?
nope - i'm a landlord - check the laws in your state, just put in landlord/tenant laws in a search. the tricky part to your question thoa, is, defining ';normal wear and tear';, in most cases, it comes down to the judge deciding what that means, not you or the landlord.
There may be something concerning this in your lease. I know one apartment I lived in I had to get the carpets cleaned, but all the others did it themselves.

Putting fresh aloe vera straight from the plant into shampoo?

my parents grow the plants at home and i wanted to know how to extract the good stuff out (never opened an aloe plant before) and into a shampoo that already has aloe so i can increase the concentation/potency of itPutting fresh aloe vera straight from the plant into shampoo?
U just cut a oitllt piece of it, take out a side of it and take the liquid in the inside and put it straight into ur shampoo!!

Good luck , I hope this helps!!Putting fresh aloe vera straight from the plant into shampoo?
Sounds like a great idea! Just cut it open and squeeze the aloe out .
    sound goofy to me
Pluck the leaf, split it with a knife, then just rub it in your hair. I use it on my skin. You are probably wasting your money by buying a branded oproduct as all these shampoos contain vertually the same ingredients. Plus there is only a tiny amount of aloe in there any way. check the back of two bottles and see for yourself(largest quantities come 1st)
haha.. you sound smart using all those big words. =)

Of course it would be okay. And aloe is good for almost..anything. ESPECIALLY for your skin.

I need a shampoo with defrizzing, straightening, and keeps recently colored hair looking fresh. any ideas?

i have a problem with my hair frizzing in humidity, i straighten my hair every other day...and i just dyed my hair over a week ago.

i need a shampoo for all of that.

i know herbal essences has a shampoo for each of that...but i need it all in one.

any ideas??I need a shampoo with defrizzing, straightening, and keeps recently colored hair looking fresh. any ideas?
It's not the shampoo that keeps your hair straight. It's the heat protector you use. It's like when someone say they just bought a new Chi and it keeps their hair straight longer and they love it and blah, blah. Well, it's not the flat iron that keeps your hair straight either, it's the heat protector they sometimes send with the flat iron that keeps your hair straight. Find a good moisture blocker/heat protector and you'll have to experiment. I've heard the one Maxiglide sells is good, I've heard Chi sells good ones, and I've heard Sabino moisture block is good in that they all keep your hair straight for a longer period without reversion.

I use Wen cleansing conditioner and this keeps my hair frizz free and it is also supposed to keep your color from fading because it doesn't contain the harsh ingredients shampoos have that can strip the color.I need a shampoo with defrizzing, straightening, and keeps recently colored hair looking fresh. any ideas?
Control Freak by Tigi Bed Head. It's a green bottle and it works to straighten and prevent frizz. I haven't seen anything that says it's good for colored hair, but it keeps my color looking great. Then again, I also use Shimmering Lights once a week, but this shampoo is the best thing I've found. Get the conditioner, too.
Garnier Fructis products are pretty good but not with curly hair. I mean it depends on some people. But get a specific product of theirs that helps against frizz and like the leave-in conditioner if it doesn't make your hair greasy. Hope I helped.. :)))
screw shampoo and conditioners. it's all about what you use after the shower. get some biosilk silk therapy and some matrix color smart shine spray and your hair will be shiny and frizz free and color protected from the sun and everything else
aussie shampoos and conditioners are really good and moisterizing to keep your hair healthy from straightening it all the time

Anyone use Fresh n' Clean dog shampoo?

I use Fresh n' Cleans dog shampoo, the baking soda and oatmeal with aloe one. It smells wonderful and really gets them clean. My question is has anyone here used it and had any problems with drying? They also make a conditioner in the same kind but I have never tried it. I usually use a spray on conditioner. Love to hear anyones thoughts on these products or your favorites!! Thanks!! =0)Anyone use Fresh n' Clean dog shampoo?
My dogs are all house dogs.

I use the regular Fresh'nClean on my Border Collies and ShihTzu. I dilute the shampoo down half shampoo with half water. After sudsing and rinsing really well, I put one capful of vinegar into a quart pitcher of water and use this as a rinse.

Do not pour the vinegar over the dog's eyes.

I have no problems with this drying out the coat. I also use an air forced Metro Dryer to blow the water and shedding hair out of the coats. Their coats are really soft and smell pretty good! Diet also contributes to a healthy coat.

Never use human shampoo on a dog. Not the same pH.Anyone use Fresh n' Clean dog shampoo?
The vinegar rids all soap residue from the coat and returns the coat to it's natural pH. You can shampoo, rinse, condition, rinse, and use the vinegar diluted in water as a final rinse. The coat will not smell like easter eggs either! Report Abuse

Nope I use Jhonson ( human) shampoo. Dog shampoo really dries my dogs skin.
I have a inside Bichon and I use human shampoo never had any problems
yes..once...now look at me..i cant do a thing with my hair
yeah this shampoo really dried out my husky's fur, he even lost quite a bit of hair right after that but he wasn't shedding at the time. i really didn't like it

All of our carpets in this home could use shampoo. We have 3 cats and a dog. Even though the cats use the litters and the dog is housebroken, the dog has had a mistake now and then, plus the dog has vomited once in awhile, also.

On top of all of that, there is always animal fur on the carpets no matter how much I vacuum.

Hartz, Gentle Jasmine. It smells better than any puppy shampoo I've ever used.Any suggestions on a puppy shampoo to make my new puppy smell extra fresh? or any spray to use between baths?
we bought a puppy deodorant shampoo from pets at home it was called petsmart at one time.the shampoo is lovely smells very nice but we also bought a spray for inbetween its fragranced with lavendar and our pup smells lovely.if you dont have any spray then baby powder brushed into the fur works as well which often people who show their dogs use.if you use it though keep your hand over the nose so he doesn't inhale it.Any suggestions on a puppy shampoo to make my new puppy smell extra fresh? or any spray to use between baths?
Paul Mitchell has a line of pet care products, Regular shampoo, conditioner, dry shampoo, wipes for in-between baths and wipes for dental cleaning. He uses aloe and oatmeal and everything smells great and leaves the dog clean but not all itchy or too dry.
They do make a doggy cologne which works great. You can get it at the pet stores. They have different brands. I used to get a bottle of 8-in1 brand name cologne from Wal-mart but haven't found it lately. It just takes a light spritz for my chihuahuas. Nogger dogs would take more.
Between baths you can use deodorant wipes, they sell them at most pet stores. You can try rubbing him with a laundry dryer sheet also. This helps cut down on static electricity on long hair dogs, and also helps give them a fresh scent.
Spray, mist your puppy with some good smelling conditioner, I used it for my puppy and still using it, she's 15 years old last thursday. I give her a good bath every two weeks.
    doggy cologne ;-)

    lol

How to keep hair clean and fresh thoroughout the week?Is shampooing every day good?

how to keep hair clean and fresh thoroughout the week?Is shampooing every day good?which shampoo is good for regular use?How to keep hair clean and fresh thoroughout the week?Is shampooing every day good?
    Washing every day isnt ideal as it strips all the natural oils your hair needs. But iof you do want to wash it frequently buy a shampoo that is ';mild'; and for ';Frequent use';

A really good one is by ';Aussie'; it doesnt ';build up on your hair'; and it smell of bubblegum! I use it all the time.

If not, you can use a dry shampoo in between washes - just spray on the oily roots etc. A good one is ';Batiste'; available in Superdrug and Boots.

Try not to run ur hands through it too much or the fron will become grubby and dirty quicker! How to keep hair clean and fresh thoroughout the week?Is shampooing every day good?
wash ur hair every other day..

regular use.%26gt;%26gt;hmm i guess a mild shampoo and hair conditioner in ur strands so ur hair is soft and manageable

USE HERBAL ESSENCES..or maybe even tresseme

and for conditioners..garnier products are good

shampooing everyday is not so good because then ur hair gets damaged by washing it too much with water and/or shampoo so wash it every other day
shampooing everyday sometimes causes hair loss and excessive oils needed for the hair just wash it either once a week or twice a week unless you go swimming hope i helped
it depends on what type hair you have
i shampoo everyday its good not just keeping your hair clean but it is also healthy for your scalp but dont use shampoo that has very strong ingredient like clarifying shampoo they are very strong use sunsilk or any ordinary branded shampoo
Well why dont you shave all your hair off would solve the need to clean it.
Depending on how fine/thick/long/short your hair is. When you go in for your next hair cut, ask your stylist, they know your hair better than anyone on Yahoo Answers. I have normal and long hair, so I go about 3 days in-between washes. My sister has thick short hair so she goes about 2. My mother has thin medium length hair and she washes every other day.
Shampooing every day strips it of its natural oils. Shampoo every other day or every two days instead. It's better to clip your hair up and put it under a shower cap on no-wash days, but if you need to wash (ie, if you play sports) try rubbing in a light conditioner such as the cheapie V05 or Suave ones into your hair, which have low amounts of cleansers. Pretty much any shampoo that suits your hair type should be good for daily use, except for those labeled ';Clarifying';. Clarifying shampoos should be used once a week or less often to remove build up from styling products.
Most stylists will tell you No, shampooing everyday is not a good thing. You need to let your natural oils set into your hair. So shampoo every other day. It helps your hair to stay softer. I prefer a certain kind of shampoo and conditioner that is all natural and it is made out of seaweed. It really helps keep the hair soft. I hope this helped.
Shampooing every day can strip your hair of natural oils that your hair needs ccausing mor ebreaking and then you need differant products. I would suggest washing your hair every other day unless you happen to do something like swimming in a pool or excessive sweating.
It depends on your hair type, If you have normal hair wash it every other day, but if you have oily hair it's ok to wash it every day, and if you have dry hair you probably can go a couple of days without washing it. To keep it fresh try using a little bit less quantity of your hair products (gel, cream , mousse, etc.) As for which shampoo and conditioner to use this also depends on how often you need to wash your hair, and what your looking for in the product. Good luck
no shampooing it every day is not good umm i want my hait to smell good thoru out the week as well i jsut get a product tah smells good and spray it in my hair but, dont over do it
Yes, shampoo every day. Use a gentle shampoo. With all the pollution in the air, our hair (which has oil in it) just seems to pull them in. I like Dove shampoo

I don't expect my hair to look great in the morning, but I would like to feel like I can be seen in public! Your suggestions will be most helpful!I have short hair which is wild when i wake up. How can I make it look ';fresh'; without shampooing and redoing?
Just get it a little damp and blow-dry it straight.I have short hair which is wild when i wake up. How can I make it look ';fresh'; without shampooing and redoing?
I have short hair too so in the morning if it's being particularly greasy the first thing I'll do is use Oscar Blandi dry shampoo. It lightens the hair up and gives it back some volume. Then go at it with a flat iron to smooth out all the kinks and then run some texturizer through it (any cream or paste will do).

The key though is the dry shampoo. It works miracles.
To refresh hair, you could try dry shampoo.

Where can i buy sunsilk fresh for longer shampoo

i heard its good to help my hair stop getting gressy everyday so i been looking all over but cant find it anyone know where to buy it Where can i buy sunsilk fresh for longer shampoo
I would suggest that you use a clarifying shampoo to relieve any excess oil. Discount store shampoos have too much oil and wax which makes more damage and hassle, especially when you already have excess oil.

Shop your local beauty supply for a good one!Where can i buy sunsilk fresh for longer shampoo
You can get it at Wal-Greens, Wal-Mart, Albertsons, Dollar General, or a Drug store.

';garnier fructis clean & fresh'; shampoo/conditioner..?

heyy i wuz thinking of using the ';Garnier Fructis Clean %26amp; Fresh'; shampoo and conditioner. i have a few questions..

    1.) Does it smell good?

2.) What does it do to ur hair? for example: does it make ur hair shinier, healthier, volumized, etc, etc.

    3.) Do you reccommend it?

    ThAnkSSs!! =D';garnier fructis clean %26amp; fresh'; shampoo/conditioner..?
It just depends on your type of hair and honestly what type of water you wash your hair with like well water or city water.

I used it for like a year and I liked it, but my sister used it once and refuses to use it now because it left her hair kinda oily and not as clean as she would like it. But if it does work for your hair type then it leaves it shiny and I noticed it made my hair healthier. But now I use Herbal essence and I love it. It smell good and really cleans your hair.

Garnier does smell good in the bottle but it doesn't have much of a scent in your hair. I only recommend it if it works on your hair type cause like I said it varies. I hope this helped. ';garnier fructis clean %26amp; fresh'; shampoo/conditioner..?
I was using this for a while and I didn't like it.

It didn't seem to clean my hair as well as I would like it to.

It smelt good, but when I smelt my hair I couldn't smell it at all.

I don't recommend it and it doesn't do anything.

I would try Herbal Essences. It makes your hair shinier, healthier and you can get a type for volume. It smells great too. Its about $4. It also gives you that clean feeling. I love Hello Hydration.

    -Holly J
I would never recommend ANY Garnier Fructis conditioner! Anytime I have ever used it, it leaves this really gross film on my hair. I have tried a few different kinds of Garnier Fructis conditioners and they all do the same thing. Maybe it won't do that for you but I think it's horrible! Dove and Pantene are way better. :)
garnier fructis is the equivalent of junk food for your hair, yes it's cheap but it just isn't good. it leaves a film on your hair and weighs it down. I keep my hair in pretty fantastic shape with ';All soft'; by Redkin. this smells good and leaves your hair so silky and shiny! Try it!

What shampoo shall i use to keep my hair nice and fresh smeling.....?

I am looking for a shampoo or any hair product with a nice smell which stays on my hair. I used to use DOVE leave in conditioner whihc is nice but not on the shelf any more, Please tell me what is the best one. What shampoo shall i use to keep my hair nice and fresh smeling.....?

I think Garnier Fructis is the best smelling shampoo and conditioner. I always get comments about how nice my hair smells after I use it. And, of course, it works well, too.
    try herberal essence
Scalp Med it comes with a scalp Detoxifier and it's free of harmful Sodium Laureth Sulfate . you'll be happy to how it works .
Head and shoulder willl be it. Its very good and nice and lasting or probably hermatol shapoo and conditioner even with antidandruff things in it.
Herbal Essences SHampoo and Conditioners line, smell great and leave your hair feeling soft! I love them. People always tell me how good my hair smells.
    herbal

essences smells great!! i use it alot. they have conditioner too. u can get it basically anywhere lol. and also aquage smells really good...i get it at my hair dressers...its in a blue/silverish bottle...it works great and it is a reasonable price for the quality. good luck!

My hair has always been very flat; even after a fresh shampoo wash..?

Any suggestions for making it more bouncier, bigger and more voluminous all day.My hair has always been very flat; even after a fresh shampoo wash..?
You need to take good care of your hair. Get to know what your hair likes and doesn't like. My hair gets too dry if I wash it every day, so I have to wash it every 2 or 3. Never brush it when it's wet, use a wide tooth comb. Drink lots of water and take vitamins so you and your hair are in good condition.

Now... you can try volumizing shampoos and conditioners. Herbal Essences has a new line with a lot of different kinds of shampoos/conditioners, and one of them is volumizing. I use them and like them. You can also find volumizing products. They work best if you put them in your wet hair with a heat protector/detangler and blow dry.

It also helps when you use a hairdryer and have your head flipped upside down while you use it.My hair has always been very flat; even after a fresh shampoo wash..?
less expensive volumizing products like herbal essences end up damaging your hair in the long run (it's in last months issue of Jane). You need something really good like Phyto products (you can actually read all the ingredients!!)

They have them @ Nordtrom %26amp; Sephora. I just started using them 2 months ago %26amp; i totally got my $$'s worth! 10% of your money goes toward breast cancer research if you but the volumizing shampoo and volumizing hair spray kit too, so you'll feel good buying it. Their volumizing mousse it wonderful, too. the good thing about the shampoo is that it doesnt leave it feeling dry. ask the ladies at the counter how to use it though!

Also, when you blowdry, flip your hair upside-down. Try getting some layers in your hair and learn how to roundbrush (see a good stylist for that one). Good luck!
I use Sunsilk anti-flat shampoo and conditioner because I have medium length, fine hair. You can also blow dry it or just tease it or brush it from underneath. Another thing that gives it body is putting it in a ponytail on the top of your head, and then taking out the ponytail holder.

  • I just bought some pet head shampoo...does it work to keep a indoor dog smelling fresh and clean?

i bought a real expensive shampoo for my new pup but does it work?does anyone use pet head shampoo?I just bought some pet head shampoo...does it work to keep a indoor dog smelling fresh and clean?
Shampoos that make your pup smell good only works for a short while. There is not shampoo that can leave your pup smelling fresh throughout the day. Also dont bathe your pup everyday. It will make your pups skin dry, itchy, and it will crack; also he will loose all the beneficial oils he needs that makes his coat look shiny and healthy. I suggest you give him baths every 3-4 weeks. If he starts to smell like a dog, buy those little bottles of ';perfume'; for dogs you can buy at your local petsmart or petco and spray a couple on his body.I just bought some pet head shampoo...does it work to keep a indoor dog smelling fresh and clean?
shampoos work for the short term, but make sure you concentrate getting the best diet as this keeps a dog smelling the best. Feed a dog too much fatty or oily food and it gets greasy and smells!!
an indoor dog shouldnt smell...bathing too often cause loss of natural oils and makes the skin itchy..dont over bath.

How often should i give a cat a bath and what shampoo to used for cat to smell fresh for a long time?

Only dogs need baths; cats are self-cleaning. Seriously though, don't bathe your cat. Their skins/coats dry out extremely easily and all kinds of problems happen when their coats are too dry. The only reason to bathe a cat is if they get something on their fur that they should not ingest/lick because it would make them sick.

All you really need to do is brush them every now and then, and that's just to cut down on any possible hairballs. How often should i give a cat a bath and what shampoo to used for cat to smell fresh for a long time?
Giving a cat a bath is good about every 3-6 months ppl say the cat cleans its self but they dont really cats lick themselves but it doesnt really clean them all they do when the lick themselves is get some of the top dirt off them and brush their fur so it is good to give them baths and cats do hate water so u need to be prepared for anything the first time i gave my cat a bath was painful but i did learn

btw some ppl say to use luke warm water but that is not true u should use cool water not cold but cool becase the cool water will relax the cat causing less stress for the cat and u

i hope this helped and good luckHow often should i give a cat a bath and what shampoo to used for cat to smell fresh for a long time?
They say you can wash a cat, but trust me it DOES NOT WORK, cats have sharp claws............you know what happens next.

My cat even broke out after a while, from the shampoo that's filled with chemicals.

    (OUTCH)
Never, its a cat not a dog. The only time to bath a cat is if it's gotten into something like motor oil or paint. Brushing the cats coat will help it shine and loosen the dander(which holds odor).

Is Dove Go Fresh a good shampoo?

I saw the Dove Go Fresh Energize shampoo in the store, and instantly fell in love with the lemongrass and grapefruit scent. However, I'm hesitant to try it because when I used the Dove Cool Moisture shampoo, it made my normally wavy hair really flat and unresponsive to styling. Is the new Dove light enough for fine hair? Please share your experiences with it, whether they are good or bad.Is Dove Go Fresh a good shampoo?
I don't like it - I have fine/thin hair but a lot of it and it tends to get oily fast if I don't use the right shampoo. My favorite is the Mane and Tail (weird but it's GREAT)!Is Dove Go Fresh a good shampoo?
    it suxxz

How long should I wait to bathe my kittens with fresh 'n' clean shampoo?

They are 2 and 3/4 of a month old.How long should I wait to bathe my kittens with fresh 'n' clean shampoo?
You should never ever bath your kittens or any cat with shampoo of any sort unless the cat is too dirty to clean himself. You don't bath cats, they clean themselves, their tongues are made especially for the job, so please don't ruin their fur like some people do, by unnecessary bathing !How long should I wait to bathe my kittens with fresh 'n' clean shampoo?
I don't know if the shampoo you are talking about is formulated for cats, but if it's not, don't use it.

Having said that, cats groom themselves, and they have a natural deodorant in their saliva that keeps them odor-free. If your cat smells bad and isn't obviously dirty, take him to a vet. Unless the cat gets into something, he should never need a bath. Brushing everyday (even for short-hairs) on the other hand, is a good idea, and it's good to get them used to it as a kitten.

If you really want to bathe your cat, you can, but if you get it wet, don't allow it to be very long. Kittens get chilled easily. Or you could try a dry shampoo.
Forever! Cats bathe themselves. Bathing them with anything can cause dry skin problems because it strips the oils from their coat. The only reason to bathe a cat would be because of a flea infestation or such. Then you would take her to a vet to take care of it so that she can be treated with the correct stuff.
We had 3 cats one after another and bathed only the first one. It was stress for him, he shouted loudly and was unhappy. Now I know that they don't need to be bathed, especially if always indoors. They don't like it; and they wash perfectly themselves.
I waited till my kittens were 8 weeks to bathe them. If you give them baths while they are that young, they should get used to it. Mine loves baths!! It can happen, I know some of you think I'm nuts for even trying, but it is possible! I would even use baby shampoo.
with my kitten i waited until she was a month.

Does redken fresh curls shampoo, conditioner and additional products of the redken fresh curl line work?

I just want to know if it's worth my money.

I mean, Redken hair products ALWAYS are,

but just curl enhancer products always seem.. like they're not as good as they advertise.Does redken fresh curls shampoo, conditioner and additional products of the redken fresh curl line work?
It is a great line ..

Your problem with ';curl enhancing'; products is going to be the same for Redken as well .. this is what they are made for:

Curl enhancing shampoos and conditioners are made to help fix the problems that people with curly hair tend to complain about, which is usually dry hair and frizz. So what you are going to get from Fresh Curls is more moisture and a little bit of silicone to soften the hair and help define the curls. It won't give your hair any more curl.

It's always a good idea to buy professional though. The ingredients are better, and it's not as drying to your hair.

You know, about other dove products, I've heard that their pro age line of shampoos REALLY works for damaged hair. It completely changes it back to good and heathy hair.

But dont use their mousse. I tried it and it was horrible.

Is the dove go fresh shampoo okay for color treated hair?

It doesn't say on the bottle...

So does anyone know?Is the dove go fresh shampoo okay for color treated hair?
    If it doesn't say anywhere on the bottle that it is safe for color treated hair... then it's not safe for it. Most shampoos I've seen will at least have it printed on the back ';safe for color treated hair.';

How do I get fresh shampoo out of my carpets? I tried to use water and soap and it just keeps lathering?

My fiancee stepped on a shampoo bottle laying on the floor and it exploded. We were outside for less then 10 minutes and came back to the mess. It won't come out. Help? How do I get fresh shampoo out of my carpets? I tried to use water and soap and it just keeps lathering?
Shampoo is a soap, so you don't want to add more soap. It's going to take water. I'd suggest a small carpet spot cleaningg machine like the little Bissell. Don't add any soap to it. Just use the water portion to wet the area %26amp; vacuum up the water. Repeat until it all comes out. If this is a good portion of a shampoo bottle, it's going to take a while. Good luck. How do I get fresh shampoo out of my carpets? I tried to use water and soap and it just keeps lathering?
Holy crap a cleaning question i'm stumped on. Idk Try plain water and a lint free rag or an old t-shirt. The soap is already present. :)
I'll be interested to see others answers.

In shampooing.... one would use a conditioner to help get the suds out. Hmmmm....
